*Health Professions Highlights:
- 91% of Washington and Lee graduates who apply
to health professional schools matriculate within three years
of their first application.
- For medical school applicants, 97% of those
with a cumulative GPA greater than 3.0 and an MCAT greater than
or equal to 30 are accepted to medical school. Over the last
three years (2006-2008) the data for the average successful W&L
medical school applicant (n = 102) is a cumulative GPA of 3.52
and an MCAT of 30.8.
- In the last ten years, twenty-eight Washington
and Lee students were admitted to dental school. For these students
the average DAT score was 20 and grade point average was 3.25.
- In the last ten years, eighteen Washington
and Lee students were admitted to veterinary medical school.
The average grade point average of these students was 3.42.
